Fabian is from Alamosa Colorado. He works for the United States Antarctic Program (USAP) to coordinate and manage the maintenance and repairs of equipment at deep field camps and science traverses, along with purchasing and managing parts. He also assesses and analyses equipment cost efficiency and assists in hiring mechanics to deploy to camps and traverses. He first went to Antarctica in 2015 going to WAIS Divide camp as the mechanic foreman. Before working in Antarctica, Fabian worked as a technician/equipment maintenance supervisor for Halliburton in China and as a mechanic at Kenworth in Denver Colorado
