I think we are structuresd to support graduate enterprise very well indeed, the 'KE' activity is perhaps dissipated across various pillars and delivered via similallry different routes from being embedded in modules, 3rd year projects placements etc.

Same here at Hertfordshire. Of course, the OfS is driving more focus towards student KE given that they fund 18% of HEIF. Plus they have a number of KE Student Engagement projects in collaboration with Research England

Hi Barry, I would agree UEA has a very similar model. We also provide a number of programmes for PGR students to engage with KE activities including iTeams (MIT)

Capacity building seems to be focused on permanent academic staff or students; I wonder what the panel (or others) think about how to engage fixed-term contract research staff (e.g., postdocs) with this, or promote the value of including this group within universities to build KE capacity

We’ve just launched National Centre for Academic and Cultural Exchange (ncace.ac.uk) so if there people who’d like to connect, particularly around KE with arts and cultural sectors, we’d love too hear from you. We’re developing two new networks Knowledge Impacts Network (KIN) and Evidence Cafe. Both starting March.

Really interesting to see Salesforce referenced as CRM. Common use of SF is applying a common institution wide language to reflect current state (or progress) of any engagement from identification to closure.

@tony stimson - praxis auril is planning a session on CRMs and one of the initial findings is that many KE units are using salesforce as a CRM - York is thinking of doing so

CRM was a JISC focus a while back Amanda so there were lots of resources developed - especially the crucial pre-purchase phase, so defining what you will wat your system to do so etc.

Our CRM (dynamics) is in development but the challenge has been in making organisational enquiries equal to student enquiries with a formalised tracking process. The language of KE is a good starting point for us.
